Major retailer returns to Sussex Christmas tree farm for photoshoot

Catsfield Christmas Tree Farm in Battle has once again hosted a global clothing and gift retailer as the location for shooting their 2021 festive campaign.

FatFace, which has 210 stores, was looking for a picturesque Christmas tree farm and decided that Catsfield Christmas Tree Farm offered exactly what it needed. A shot last year was so successful that the retailer asked if they could return. The farm also supplied several trees for an indoor shoot at another location.

​

In late Summer, part of the farm was turned into a snowy winter scene for FatFace’s fashion shoot with models in jumpers and scarves, stylists, photographers and props involved. Catsfield team member Toby Ballard’s vintage Land Rover, his pride and joy, also took part in the shoot.

​

To give the scene an authentic festive feel, an artificial snow making machine was used. The artificial snow was completely biodegradable and designed to dissolve when it rained.

​

Chris Tidy, Creative Manager at FatFace, explained: “It was great to work with the Catsfield team again this year. The farm offers everything in terms of location and style and the staff are welcoming and very helpful both in the run up to and during our photoshoot.

​

The farm is no stranger to camera crews and photographers and in the past has worked with Godiva Chocolates, CBBC, Kerrang and Sussex Life magazines.
