Good Riddance Pest Control Rebrands as Cleankill Pest Control

Good Riddance Pest Control is to be rebranded as Cleankill Pest Control as part of the company’s strategy for expansion in the Bristol and South-west region. 

​

Established by Howard Taffs in 2002, Good Riddance Pest Control is known for delivering high-quality pest control services to residential and commercial customers in the Bath, Bristol and Weston-Super-Mare regions. 

​

Howard’s decision to retire in 2018 meant he needed to find a like-minded company that would look after his customers and staff. Commenting at the time he said: “Within the industry, Cleankill is well-known as a company that looks after its staff and customers. They believe in continuous staff development as a way to constantly improve and offer better customer service - Cleankill was the obvious choice.”

While Howard was looking to retire, Cleankill Pest Control knew there was a gap in the market in and around Bristol for professional, cost-effective commercial pest control services aimed at facilities managers.

​

Founded in 1995, Surrey-based Cleankill Pest Control was started by pest control professionals who felt customers should receive a different kind of service – one that put the needs of the customer, the employee, the environment and the community on an equal footing with a desire for profit.

Managing Director Paul Bates explains: “How our business operates is as important to us as profit. We do offer residential services, but the majority of our work is commercial, particularly with facilities managers.  A good way to get an idea of the scope of our business is to look at some recent jobs we have completed for facilities managers in and around London: bird-proofing the solar panels on the roof of a large supermarket; dispersing pigeons and seagulls from industrial estates using our Harris Hawks and dealing with numerous rodent infestations in office blocks that are empty due to lockdown.

“There is no such thing as a ‘standard’ job. We work with the client to develop a tailored approach that employs the latest techniques to ensure the job is completed quickly and cost-effectively.”

Commenting on the decision to rebrand Good Riddance Pest Control as Cleankill Pest Control, Paul added: “We think the time is right. We are justly proud of Cleankill’s achievements which include winning multiple awards for staff development; being green; corporate social responsibility and outstanding customer service along with being the first English pest control company to be awarded a Gold Investors in People accreditation.

“Since acquiring Good Riddance in November 2018 and as we continue to expand our capabilities in areas such as Avonmouth, it makes sense to now deliver our services under one award-winning brand.”
