Catsfield Christmas Tree Farm is celebrating after winning the Celebrity Choice Wreath Award at the British Christmas Tree Growers’ Association (BCTGA) Awards 2024.
For this year's competition, TV presenter Jules Hudson was a special guest and selected Catsfield’s wreath for the Celebrity Choice Award describing it as “simple, inventive and fun. Loved it!”. Catsfield also went on to win third place for the Photo of the Year Award. This new award offered BCTGA members the chance to highlight the natural beauty of real Christmas trees.
Farm owner Clive Collins said: “We enter a tree into the national awards every year, but sadly haven’t won yet. We have had some great feedback about the quality of the wreaths we sell in our festive shop, so decided this year that we would also enter the festive wreath category. We are very proud to have won such a competitive award and that Jules Hudson liked our wreath so much.”
Now in its 25th year, the annual competition was created to promote and recognise the best Christmas trees and wreaths in the country. The competition is organised by the British Christmas Tree Growers’ Association which is dedicated to representing and actively supporting growers who produce beautiful British Christmas trees.
The chair of the BCTGA, Russel Parkins, said: “The standard of entries has been high and very impressive and I’d like to congratulate all our winners.”
