Local Business Holland Harper to sponsor BBB10K for 2nd Year

Battle-based Holland Harper is pleased to announce that the company will be sponsoring the Battle Bonfire Boyes 10K again.

Holland Harper is proud to have an office on the high street, right in the heart of the community. The 10K race goes right through the historical town and past the Holland Harper premises. It is a great opportunity for the community to come together and enjoy the beautiful setting, while doing something active. 

Holland Harper Partner Roy Holland, said: “We’re incredibly proud to be sponsoring this year’s BBB10K which is taking place right here on our high street. As a business rooted in this community, it means a great deal to support an event that brings local residents, families and businesses together in such a positive and energetic way. 

The race begins at 10am on Battle High Street and goes all around the town before finishing at the historic Battle Abbey. The mayor then presents the winners with various trophies. The course record is currently held by Adam Clarke, who achieved an impressive time of 31:50 in 2016. 

Fundraising Officer Alice Woodham said: “With the support of local businesses like Holland Harper, the BBB10k continues to grow from strength to strength and has become a highly anticipated event in the local running calendar. All proceeds of the event help towards the running costs of Battle Bonfire Night, one of the most celebrated nights of the year in our town.”

The race is taking place Sunday 6th September and entry for this year's run is now open and can be purchased here. The organisers hope their perfect streak of zero rain on event day continues!
